If there’s one thing I love about my job, it’s helping businesses really nail their social media marketing. One of the ways we do this here at Gumption is by creating a social media strategy, just like the one we made for Kilver Court.
How did we start?
Our strategy writing service is totally bespoke, so the first step in our process is to establish the individual client’s needs. When we sat down to chat with the Kilver Court team, they told us that they really wanted to improve their presence on Instagram. Their goals were to increase brand awareness, increase engagement, drive traffic to the website and ultimately drive footfall onsite.
What research did we do?
After our meeting, we were able to go away and get onto the next step – research. We started by scrolling through their Instagram account to see what they were already doing. We also looked at analytics to pinpoint the types of people their posts were already reaching and how they could start engaging with their target audience.
What was included in their strategy?
Inspired by our research and brainstorming, we created an in-depth document chock full of ideas on how to achieve their goals; covering everything from hashtags to filters. We included how often they should post and the kinds of content they could use, plus how to run effective Instagram ads. It may sound daunting, but don’t worry, we always take our clients’ resources into account. We pride ourselves on keeping our recommendations realistic and creating strategy documents that are easy to follow.
What did they think?
Safe to say, the team loved their social media strategy. Nickie from the Kilver Court team said, “Gumption was tasked with creating an Instagram strategy for our multi-faceted business. The strategy has helped us greater understand our target audience, focus on our objectives and use our Instagram feed to its full potential. We now feel equipped with the tools we need to create engaging content which really resonates with our audience and brings us in line with our competitors.”
